THE UFIKT SYSTEM FOR REMOTE SENSING
OF THE EARTH SURFACE AND ATMOSPHERE FROM SPACE
Key points of the concept on the UFIKT space-based system
(UV-IR telescope-radiometer system)
New generation light-weight small-sized onboard optical electronic complex will be created;
A small spacecraft on the basis of the Neva unified small spacecraft bus will be created;
Simultaneous remote sensing operations in different bands from ultraviolet survey through visible light imaging to infrared (IR) survey will be carried out;
Besides images of the observed parts of the surface of the Earth, their thematic maps (dedicated, for instance, to either deposits forecast or ecological characteristics) will be provided;
Equipping the existing data acquisition and processing units with the minimum necessary will be realized.
The UFIKT space-based system key missions
Search for extractable resources;
Control over mining operations and use of natural resources;
Natural-economic complexes control;
Forestry control;
Agricultural control;
Navigation and fishery control;
Water and a dry land contamination control;
Natural and man-caused catastrophe control;
Ice condition control;
Atmospheric air pollution control;
Ionosphere parameters control.
The UFIKT space-based system competitive advantages
Relatively low specific cost of the images;
More multiplicity in information products;
Higher IR-survey resolution.
