The primary direction of works of FSUE "KB "Arsenal" is research, development, creation and exploitation of various space complexes, satellites and spacecraft components. This is the face of the enterprise. KB Arsenal is one of the leading developers of space technology in Russia; it leads many other enterprises in this cooperation.
Currently, the main works of KB Arsenal in creation of space technology are the following:
• Creation of space complexes for radiophysical research of earth surface and physics of electromagnetic waves propagation (“Liana”);
• Development and realization of piggyback space experiments onboard serial spacecraft of COSMOS series for scientific and social-economical problems;
• Research and development of projects on promising rocket and space facilities.
KB Arsenals works on demand of the Federal Space Agency, ministries, enterprises and organizations.
Over 30% of staff of space direction are interns, and they are active in the new space technology development.
FSUE KB Arsenal is the only Russian enterprise which is possessed of experience in creation and exploitation of satellites equipped with nuclear power plants (NPP)
